Index to the New Brunswick Land Petitions: 1783-1918.

            The Index is arranged alphabetically by name of petitioner, and gives the county, date and microfilm reel number for the petition.  When a name has been listed from a petition submitted by another individual or by a group, the "See Petition of" column directs the researcher to the name under which the petition has been filed and microfilmed.  Due to variant spellings of a name, sometimes within the same petition, the name has been indexed by the spelling in 
   the signature.
