Registers and Records : 1752-1905.

            St. John's Church is the second oldest Protestant church in Nova Scotia. It was built in 1754 and later enlarged in 1870-1871.
            

            There are nine books on the reel. They include the following: baptisms, 1752-1850; marriages, 1752-1865; burials, 1752-1905; a copy of Melbourne M. Gardner's book History of St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia,1934; miscellaneous records, e.g. plans of pews and lists of pewholders, newspaper clippings concerning St. John's Church and the Church Square, and maps and notes pertaining to Cross Island. The records are not filmed in the exact order as given above.
Other locations that are mentioned in the registers include: Mahone Bay, New Dublin, Blue Rock, New Germany, Tancook, LaHave, Petite Riviere, Cross Island, Conquerall, Martin's River, First Peninsula, and other areas.
