Contents:

The Registry records for each county in New Brunswick form the official record of land transfers, beginning after the Province was established in 1784. The Charlotte County documents are arranged chronologically by date of registration. The alphabetical designation of each book refers to all land transactions within a given chronological period, and has no relationship to the surnames of the person or persons involved. The documents are principally, deeds, mortgages and leases of land. The records include the names of the grantor and grantee, the witnesses, and the registrar. The date the document was received in the registrar's office and the date of registration are both given.

Finding Aids:
Book L is the only book for which there is an internal index. It is indexed alphabetically by the name of the grantor at the beginning of the volume.
