Background:

St. Martin's-in-the-Woods was built in 1823 with Reverend Samuel Edwin Arnold as the first rector, 1828-1831, Westmorland County.

Contents:

The reel contains: baptisms at Richibucto, 1833-1835; baptisms at Shediac, 1825-1944; list of communicants, 1836; historical memorandum, including the dates when several rectors were inducted; marriages, 1825-1956; burials, 1830-1854; and a marriage register for the Parishes of Dundas and Wellington, Kent County, 1870-1874; burials, 1870-1895; and baptisms, 1870-1898. St. Martin's-in-the-Woods vestry records, 1829-1830, and vestry minutes, 1837-1900, are found at the end of the reel.

The Parishes of Dundas and Wellington included the villages of Shediac Point, Cocagne, and Buctouche.
