Contents:

The reel contains reports from the Parish Commissioners of Highways to the Court of General Sessions of the Peace giving details of road construction within each parish. The dates include: 1789-90, 1792-93, 1798, 1800, 1802-3, 1809-10, 1812, 1814, 1817, 1822-36, 1838, 1840-62. The reports give precise information about the route the road will take, including the names of property owners, if any, along its course. 

Other information includes: the length and width of the road, the date and place the report was filed, and the signatures of all the commissioners, the great majority of whom are Loyalists.

 

Arrangement: No real organisation; probably written in the records when had the time.
