Background:

Many of the earliest Nova Scotia land records may be found at the Nova Scotia Archives, Record Group 1. The remaining land papers are found within Series A, B, C and D of Record Group 20. Only Series A is available in the Loyalist Collection.

Contents:

Series A contains land grants, memorials, petitions, warrants of survey, survey descriptions and certificates from the surveyor.

The original records are held by the Nova Scotia Archives.
