The original muster rolls of the French and Indian Wars are located in Volumes 91-99 in the Massachusetts Archives. According to information provided by the editor, Nancy S. Voye, in the preface to the microfiche edition, only the names of commissioned officers along with information on their careers, has been transcribed from Volumes 91-99. The officers have been identified from muster rolls, pay rolls, descriptive, and other lists.
The transcribed information has been arranged for the microfiche publication in alphabetical order by surname. Each name is preceded by an item number. The surname is followed by the first name, rank, residence, military expedition, service year, time period, length of service, company, and regiment.
