The military records contained in this microfilm reel fall into several categories: muster rolls for individual companies of Loyalist Regiments/Provincial Corps, including: Black Pioneers, British Legion, Guides and Pioneers, New Jersey Volunteers, New York Volunteers, and Queens Rangers; muster rolls, including casualties, of the Prince of Wales American Volunteers, Loyal American Regiment, and Kings American Regiment; muster roll of the Royal Artillery in Saint John, New Brunswick; Saint John City and County Militia rolls; military commissions (17 names); and a large section of miscellaneous documents (42 items). Among the documents in this last section can be found: returns of settlers, general and regimental orders, accounts, letters, certificates, pay abstracts and orders for pay, receipts, and many other important records.
