Background:

Annapolis County was one of the original five counties of Nova Scotia which were established on August 17, 1759. The other counties were Halifax, Kings, Cumberland, and Lunenburg.

Contents:

The Grand Jury Book contains the proceedings of the Court, arranged chronologically by date. The names of the jurors who were present are listed, along with the name of the foreman, and the date and place for each sitting of the Court. The jury's verdict is recorded.
