This microfilm reel contains "Estimates of the Charge of Maintaining and Supporting the Civil Establishment of His Majesty's Colony of Nova Scotia for the year . . ." There is a record of the estimates for each year, with a few exceptions. Salaries and allowances are listed in detail. A few examples are as follows: Lieutenant Governor, 1000; Chief Justice, 850; Surveyor General of Lands, 150; Bishop, 700; Superintendent of the Fishery, 200; Governor of Kings College in Nova Scotia for the salaries of the professors and other expenses, 1000. After 1820, expenses for Cape Breton appear in the lists. The documents are arranged chronologically.

- The volume of Estimates was not filmed in its entirety. The date of the first Account is for the period 1 November 1751 to 31 December 1752, but microfilm does not begin until 1784 with item 7. Filming was ended in 1821 with item 29. The volume concludes in 1826 with item 42.
