The first part of the reel contains Auctioneers' Records, 1787-1794, and Writs Received and Served, 1807-1809. The Auctioneers' Records list goods seized for debt and sold at public auction with a list of prices obtained and the name of the person to whom each item was sold. In some instances the name of the person to whom the property once belonged is given as well. In the case of the Writs Received and Served, information given includes the date, the names of the parties involved, the amount of the debt, the attorney's name, and a Remarks section which provides additional information.
The second part of the reel contains a Return of Executions Issued for Debt by the Inferior Court of Common Pleas at Shelburne, 1786-1791, and from the Supreme Court at Halifax, 1801-1809. The information given is similar in content to that found in the Writs Received and Served, 1807-1809.
