Contents:
            A collection of very early petitions for land, variously addressed to Lieutenant Governor Thomas Carleton or to the Governor in Council.  There is no overall chronological or alphabetical arrangement.  There are, however, a number of separate alphabetical sequences by surname which appear to have no relationship to chronology or location.  Included are a few grant maps and a list of settlers on Colonel William Spry's land grant on the River St. John, 1786.   Several pages of births, 1887-1905, and deaths 1887-1893, for York County can be found at the end of the reel.
