Background:
            The Proclamation of Lord Dorchester, 24 July 1788, created four districts in which was to become Upper Canada.  Luneburgh was the most easterly of the four original Districts.  The other Districts were Mecklenburg, Nassau and Hesse.  The Districts were all renamed in the opening session of the first Parliament of Upper Canada, 15 October 1792, and became the Eastern, Midland, Home and Western Districts.
            
Contents:
            As in all the other Districts, the Minutes of the Sessions provide a record of decisions on all business which came before the Court, both judicial and administrative.
