Liber A is a register book of wills for 1800 to 1817. It is known as the First Register Book and contains an alphabetical index by the name of the deceased for 1800-1839 and a second index by the estate number as assigned by the Registrar, Francis L. Walsh. Both indexes give the township where the person resided and the date of death. A third handwritten index contains the page numbers on which the estate information can be found. A fourth index, which is in chronological order, is located at the end of the reel.
