The early records of the New Brunswick Executive Council contain a large number of miscellaneous papers on such a variety of subjects that only a few examples can be mentioned in this brief content analysis. The Provincial Archives of New Brunswick has reorganized this material, but since no refilming has been done, the original microfilm reels remain a useful and important historical resource.

1. Using either the Loyalist Inventory binder or the Loyalist online database, access the table of contents/microfilm shelf list, which provides a reel no., PANB reference no., box no., and a one line description of contents available in each box.

2. Find the box no. containing your desired content. Note the corresponding reel no.

3. Load the reel and advance to correct box. Each box is separated by a typed title page.
