This edition of the Crown Land Grant Index was microfilmed by the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick in 1973. It is arranged in tabular form beginning with the names of the original grantees listed in alphabetical order. Other columns contain the volume (grant book) in which the grant is recorded, the grant number, number of acres, year of the grant, and the name of the county. The reel contains three chronological sections, each with its own alphabetical sequence of names. Researchers are cautioned that the sequence for the years 1849 to 1853 comes near the end of the reel after page 549. There are two copies of this reel. |

A later edition of the Crown Land Grant Index was published in microfiche format in 1986. It is arranged in one alphabetical sequence of names, and in addition to the information included in the 1973 Index, it contains the name of the parish in which the grant is located, and a description of the location of the grant. The dates that are given in the target at the beginning of the reel are inaccurate. |
