Colonial Records of Rhode Island : 1636 - 1792.

            Research Publications has assembled and made available in microfilm the most important published colonial and state records of the original Thirteen Colonies, Maine and Vermont. The series is comprised of sixty-seven titles and spans the years from the earliest available records of each colony until approximately 1800.

The Colonial Records of Rhode Island have been microfilmed on four reels and contain fifteen volumes of material. 
 CR 49. Acts and Laws of His Majesty's Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, in New England, in America, 1663-1767. 3 vols. Each volume is a different edition and all are incomplete. The Charter Granted by His Majesty King Charles II to the Governor and Company of the English Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, in New England, in America, is included. There is a table of contents near the beginning of the second volume. 
 CR 50. Records of the Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations in New England. 10 vols.  These contain the Proceedings of the General Assembly. Volume 1, 1636-1664, and include the Records of the Settlement of Providence, Portsmouth, Newport, and Warwick, from their Commencement to their Union under the Colony Charter, 1636-1647;  Volume 2, 1664-1677;  Volume 3, 1678-1706; Volume 4, 1707-1740; Volume 5, 1741-1756;  Volume 6, 1757-1769; Volume 7, 1770-1776. Records of the state of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations in New England; Volume 8, 1776-1779; Volume 9, 1780-1783;  Volume 10, 1784-1792. Introductory material is located at the beginning of each volume. A subject and name index can be found at the end of each volume. 
 CR 51. Rhode Island Court Records; Records of the Court of Trials of the Colony of Providence Plantations, 1647-1670. 2 vols.  Volume 1, 1647-1662;  Volume 2, 1662-1670. There is a name index at the end of each volume.
