Background:
            In 1785 Trinity Parish was established, and the church building and cemetery were consecrated on 31 July 1788. The Church of the Nativity, Sandy Cove and St. Paul's Chapel, Marshalltown, were both built in 1844. All Saints Church, Rossway (Gulliver's Cove), had been constructed by 1846. Digby was part of Annapolis County until 1837 when Digby County was formed.
