The Collection consists of the following sources:
The first source is a book of sermon notes for the dates 1775, 1779, 1805, and another of unknown date, concerning mainly spiritual affairs. The author is unknown.
The remainder of the reel contains the Fisher Collection. Wilford Fisher was a lawyer, magistrate and road commissioner in Grand Manan, New Brunswick. The records include complaints against Mr. Fisher as road commissioner and magistrate, as well as business papers, auction sales, and a record of conflicts between fishermen in Grand Manan and Saint John, 1836-1845. In addition to the 19th century documents, there is a typescript of a radio broadcast concerning Grand Manan Island entitled Aunt Lindy's Island recorded from Sydney, Nova Scotia, on 9 May 1953; and an address given in Saint John to commemorate Champlain - de Monts Week, 1967, by John W. Fisher, a Sackville born Canadian Broadcasting Corporation commentator.
