The reel is divided into two sections, each containing a separate List of Grants. The first list is entitled: List of Grants Passed Under the Great Seal of the Province of New Brunswick. It records the information for each grant in the following categories: grantees, quantity of land, situation, date, and when registered. The second list is called: List of Grants Passed Under the Great Seal of the Province of Nova Scotia, and the categories are: grantees, number of acres, situation, when granted, and registered in New Brunswick. In the majority of the entries, only one grantee is named, and the entry takes the form of Robert Brown and 121 others or Daniel Lyman and 38 others, with no indication of the names of the other grantees. |
