The first reel contains Probate Book A, 1788-1819; Book B, 1820-1834; and Book C, 1834-1845. The records include wills; letters of administration; inventories of estates; and other relevant documents. The second reel of probate records, 1785-1826, is arranged by date without regard to any alphabetical sequence of names. There is no apparent relationship between this reel and the Index to Probate Books A-H, which is available at the beginning of Reel 1. |
