The Loyalist Collection holds contemporary documents pertaining to the experiences of Americans supportive of the British royal cause during the American Revolution. The Collection's scope, moreover, includes broadly related topics which contributes to shedding light on the period covering the late seventeenth century into the second half of the nineteenth century in the British Atlantic world: eastern parts of both present-day Canada and the United States, Great Britain, and the West Indies. As well, the Collection holds a selection of sources in print to support research.
The Catalogue contains descriptions, some more detailed than others, of the over 600 records, most of which are in microfilm format and, to a lesser extent, in electronic format. For assistance using the Catalogue, a Search Tips button is available.
